Red, White & Brew Festival

Do you know what you’ll be doing on July 4th weekend? If not, make some time to join us at the Red, White & Brew Festival being hosted by WGHR FM – Hits 106 and Hernando County Parks and Recreation. Buick GMC Brooksville is happy to be a proud sponsor of this event where there’ll be live entertainment and food and fun for the whole family, as well as cold beer and tasty wine for adults. If that’s not enough to pique your interest, there’ll be live performances by Petty Heart, a Tom Petty tribute band, and Draw the Line, an Aerosmith tribute band whose lead singer once played Steven Tyler in a movie. Later in the evening, you’ll be treated to a free fireworks show! Read on to get more details.

How Did it All Start?

The Red, White, and Brews 4th of July Celebration goes back to 2018 when Hernando County business leaders partnered with Hernando County Parks and Rec to bring the first event to the Lakehouse Park in Springhill. The first event was a grand success, with traffic stopped for blocks and thousands in attendance for an exhilarating night of food, fireworks, and live music. 

The first event was such a success that the next year Hernando County decided to move the event to the Anderson Snow Soccer Complex to make room for a larger crowd. Repeating the previous formula of food, live music, and fireworks, the event brought in an estimated 10,000 attendees, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, and halted traffic for at least a 5-block radius. 

As you might imagine, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the 2020 Red, White, and Brew Festival from going forward, as we all had to make drastic changes for the sake of public safety.

Last year, the Red, White, and Brew Festival came back to Springhill, and it’s back and better than ever again this 4th of July weekend! You can expect a night filled with food, fun, family, and fireworks as you enjoy the live sounds of The Petty Heart and Draw the Line.
